Richard N. Kuhn
GALION: Richard N. Kuhn, 58, of Galion, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, January 29, 2013.
Born February 15, 1954 in Shelby, he was the son of the late Arthur Neal Kuhn and Donna Jean (Haspeslagh) Kuhn who survives of Mansfield. He married Denise C. (Jones) Kuhn on June 11, 1976 and she survives.
He was a graduate of Crestview High School in 1972 and Marion Technical College with a degree in Industrial Engineering.
He was a United States Air Force veteran and former member of Clay Memorial Lutheran Church in Mansfield and he is currently attending the Grace Baptist Church in Crestline. Richard is a member of the United Transportation Union and liked to bowl and has been on various bowling leagues in Galion. He was a conductor on Norfolk and Southern Railroad where he has worked the last eight years. Prior to working with the railroad he was an engineer with Rexroth Corporation in Wooster.
In addition to his wife and mother he is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Shannon and Jeff Gerger and Melissa and Gary Johnson, Jr., all of Crestline; one son, Ryan Kuhn and Brandy Martin of Galion; ten grandchildren, Jordan Geiogue, Alexis Kuhn, Gavin Kuhn, Grace Kuhn, Addison Kuhn, Bethany Kopp, Logan Gerger, Tessa Gerger, Jack Johnson and Lilly Johnson; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Susan and Jerry Smith of Butler and Sherri Pack of Columbus; mother-in-law, Anita Jones of Crestline; two sisters-in-laws and spouses, Diane and Paul Altstadt of Crestline and Laura and Vernon Yancey of Chillicothe; and Vinnie his Maltese dog.
In addition to his father he was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Briana Kuhn; and his step-father, Byron J. Walter.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 1, with Pastor. Chris Spencer, officiating. Burial will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens. Full military honors will be held by the United States Air Force and the Galion/Crestline area veterans organizations.

My deepest sympathies go to the Kuhn family. I was in total shock when I recieved the email of Richs passing. We had many good trips together with great conversations. I will miss having Rich as my conductor. Again my deepest sympathies. J P
