RIP Manute Bol. Your kindness and generosity will continue to have a positive and everlasting impact on many lives. May the entire Bol family be blessed and have comfort in knowing that he will no longer suffer any pain or discomfort. Be blessed and depend on the Lord to give you guidance, understanding and peace during this very difficult time.

I remember being at a Chicago hotel when his team was playing the Bulls. Him & a few of his teammates were in the lobby. They all had on black sweats & he had his hood up over his head. My husband & I got on the elevator along with him. I am all of 5 feet tall & stood directly beside him. I looked up at him & he looked down at me. Many onlookers left in the hotel lobby started laughing at the sight as the elevator doors closed. My husband started laughing & couldn't stop. Soon the whole elevator joined in. Before we got off, he shook my hand & patted me on the head. Ever since then, I have followed his career. I was so impressed by his efforts off the court in helping to improve the country where he was from. Indeed, the world has lost a true gentleman & humanitarian. RIP Manute Bol.
