SSG Marc Scialdo's name was on my racing bib today at the "I Did The Grid" race in Northport, NY. Thank you for your sacrifice. You gave it all to allow us the freedom to run, and so we run for you. Thank you.

Thank for all you have done. You will be missed but never forgotten my friend

Rest in peace, Marc. I have many good memories of Army basic at Fort Knox and then AIT at Fort Eustis with you and the rest of our fellow soldiers. It was a special time in my life and I feel blessed that you were a part of it. At AIT, I witnessed your outstanding character. You always did what was right and I could tell you'd be a good leader. I was greatly saddened to hear that you made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The Army lost a good soldier and the world lost an even better man.

To Marc's family, please accept my condolences for Marc's passing. He was a good man and he is missed. The world needs more people like Marc.

Very Respectfully,

Michael "Pops" Colangelo

Happy Birthday SSG Scialdo. In our prayers each night, we continue to lift up your wife and your Mama and Dad and your brother and sisters. Our children know your name. Thank you for volunteering to serve after 9/11. You were very brave to answer that call from a country in distress. You and your family will not be forgotten. It is a meager token in exchange for a hero's life. I wish it were more. You have our gratitude, sir.
