You were a tower of strength as you traveled far and wide--- sharing, caring,and teaching us about CA.
Our family often took your advice and enjoyed visiting the places you visited like San Juan Capistrano,parks,beaches, lighthouses,the wine country near Paso Robles,etc. So many...
You made regular folks so happy when you enjoyed their city, their food, their
culture, their treasures, and their history.
As children ,we enjoyed the Happy Wanderer...(You even did a show about him
with his relatives.).....and to us you were a California Happy Wanderer...
My 4th grade class so enjoyed viewing your CA Mission series when they were preparing to make miniature replicas of their chosen mission as a class project.
I also shared your Cabrillo adventure, with them.
You inspired people to not be couch potatoes and to venture-out, without fear but with a sense of REAL adventure...
Everyone will miss you. You left us way too soon.
On Monday nite, there was a tribute to you.
We especially loved seeing you sing: California,Here We Come... with students and teachers from a music academy...It cheered us up.
We shall not say goodbye but "adieu" until we meet again.
