Dad, it's been a year since you were called Home and there hasn't been a day go by that I don't think about you and want to talk to you! I never knew such a gaping hole could take over my heart. I'm so thankful to know you are at rest, but there is much more I want to ask you about. I love you so much and miss you even more. So many things remind me of you - flowers, animals, places in Novato, garage sales, plants, hummingbirds...you name it, you left a deep impression. I took Mom for a drive around Novato today and everywhere we went brought back memories of you. She misses you too, and has been lost without you. We're learning to live with just your memories to hang onto, but you are so very much a part of all of our hearts that you're never far off. I love you, Dad.

Al was a warm, caring man, who always had a smile on his face. He was one of the first ones to welcome us to Marin Covenant Church in 1975. He was a hard worker and helped wherever help was needed. Gennelle Pipes
