Our area has lost an incredible individual. I had the pleasure of serving on La Rue Village Council with Dan. We were also extremely honored to work with Dan for many years at the Marion Municipal Airport. We fondly nicknamed him "Arnie Airport". His goal was first the survival of the airport, next was the maintenance of the airport, and finally future improvement to the airport. His knowledge and ability to accomplish all of these goals were unsurpassed and can be seen by area residents simply by driving past the airport! He will be missed by many and remembered by all. Prayers to his family. The Johnson Family, Erik, Cheryl, Jason, Tiffany, and Amber

Dan will be missed. The smile he had and his sense of humor made him a likeable guy. He was a great citizen, giving his time to the township, where I got to know him better and other places. We are so sorry he had to leave us so soon and send our prayers for all of his loved ones. Dianna Schweinfurth
