Norman Lee Seiter
MARION: Norman Lee Seiter, age 87, of Marion passed away early Thursday morning at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Born in Marion County on December 26, 1925 to Harvey and Ola (Whipp) Seiter, he married the former Ruby Plotner in Mayesville, Kentucky on July 6, 1944 and she survives at home. Norman served his country proudly in the United States Army and was a member of American Legion Post #584. He had worked as a Supervisor at Central Soya for 33 years, retiring in 1987.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Paul and Chester; a sister, Eulabele Steel; and one grandchild.
Surviving are his two sons, Norman L. (Sandra) Seiter Jr. and Kenneth E. (Roseann) Seiter; his three daughters, Sharon (Michael) Callahan, Judy (Calvin) Miller and Evelyn (Lee) Sparks; a brother, Donald (Evalyn) Seiter; 17 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren.
Norman's family will receive friends Monday from 4:00PM - 7:00 PM at the Hughes-Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services honoring Norman's life will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Hughes-Allen Funeral Home with Pastor Ryan Chivington officiating. Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery where military honors will be observed by the Marion County Joint Veteran's Council.
