Hahn, Edward R.
Edward R. Hahn, age 72, of Marshfield died on February 7, 2014. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Our Lady Of Peace Catholic Church in Marshfield. Burial will be at Gate Of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield following the service. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home of Marshfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
Edward was born March 8, 1941 in Marshfield to Edward W. and Anastasia (Lecher) Hahn. He was married to Donna Deering on July 28, 1962. They Celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on July 28, 2013.
Edward served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1961 aboard the USS Suribachi. After returning from service he worked in construction. He was a Bricklayer, starting his apprenticeship in 1966. Edward served as a Union Officer for 20 of his 48 years of membership in the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Union.
Edward and Donna enjoyed their retirement years together (retired in 2001). They took many cruises. Some of the cruises were to the Caribbean, Alaska, Mexican Rivera, Hawaii, and Antarctica (this trip also included several countries in South America). They also traveled throughout the entire United States.
Edward and Donna enjoyed Deer Hunting together and camping with their family for their entire lives.
Edward is survived by his wife: Donna; his son: Douglas (Patti) Hahn and their son: Chad Hahn all of Spencer; as well as his daughter: Deanna (Eric) Serrano of Chaska, MN. He is further survived by 4 sisters: Bernice Meacham, Gladys Uthmeier, Lucille Schreindl, and Sally Bremmer; as well as 1 brother: Robert Hahn.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Edward W. and Anastasia; brother William Hahn; and brothers -in-law and a sister-in-law.
