Betty, You have been an insiration to me as we walked this journey together. I will never forget you and what you have taught me through your actions and the way you lived your life. I am Blessed to have known you and your family and will miss you dearly. Your family will continue to be in my prayers. With Loving Memories, ~Heather Ahles
I met Betty while working at Wal Mart and I can't say enough positive things about Betty. Heaven has gotten a lot brighter with it's new angel. Condolences to the Schlafke family.
To all Betty's Boys and their Families....You gave your mother a very kind, special funeral, just like the lady she was. She was a very special Aunt to me and my family. Always happy, wondering how everyone was doing. The camping trips to "Little Wolf" and Betty doing her "train whistle" throughout the campground will never be forgotten. The "up north" gang will miss her forever!
Granny I couldn't ask for a better one she was an amazing granny I will never forget her yawn or the noise she made when she was cold and every Christmas I would get pink and white turtle necks. I'm happy and sad that she has passed, happy because she no longer in pain and not suffering sad, because just the fact that she won't be calling me anymore asking if I would want to go to McDonald's or go see my two cousins or simply to hang out. Granny was an amazing cook, especially her chicken noodle soup it was amazing!!!! Love you and miss you dearly granny. Its not good bye but see you again soon.

Betty is in heaven looking down on you. Peace and love to all of you. May God be with you and bless you. Rest in peace Betty.

You Mom was great! I first met her in 1979 when I started to work Scenic Bar. She was like a mom to me. So many years later I took care Makenzie at LC daycare not knowing that Granny and Betty were the same person when Todd brought her to pick up Makenize one day. She was special to alot of people. She made all of you special in your own way. You will all miss her but she will always be in your heart and mind. Sorry that I miss coming to hug you Makenzie and Todd.
my sympathy goes out to the Schlafke family,Betty was a good person. Lived next door on Georgia Ave. yrs. ago.
Dear Rob and family,
Your Mom was so very nice to us.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
The Gauger Family
To the family of Betty - We spent our Freshman year in highschool together in Auburndale. My Dad died when I was in 8th grade and then the next year my Mom remarried and we moved to Granton and I graduated from there in '59. I remember Betty from school - she was so much fun and being the scared Freshmans that we were, we needed someone like Betty to ease the tensions we all felt that year! Marvin & Vernon shingled our farm house and garage for us just a few years before our Dad passed away. All who knew Betty will definitely feel a void in their lives. I send my sympathy to all. Carol (Kohel) Hillert

Laughing because i know the pain is gone and how much happier you are now. I never in my life heard you complain about one thing but i have a funny feeling your getting close to having that first complaint by seeing us boys sad.

Betty, or "granny" as we referred to her, was one of the most important in my daughter, and Betty's granddaughter, Makenzie's, life. Makenzie and granny were so close and I am thankful for the time that Makenzie and granny shared over the years and the many stories that she can share for years to come. Betty was a wonderful lady; had such a great laugh! She had such a great sense of humor and was so easy to be around. She made everyone feel comfortable! She will be dearly missed!
