OH MOM! THERE'S NOT A DAY THAT GOES BY THAT I DON'T THINK OF YOU! I MISS EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU! YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I JUST WANT TO PICK UP THE PHONE AND HEAR YOUR VOICE. YOU ALWAYS WERE SUCH A POSITIVE PERSON AND NO MATTER WHAT DRAMA WAS HAPPENING IN MY LIFE, YOU ALWAYS REMINDED ME THAT THINGS COULD BE WORSE. YOU WERE RIGHT AND I ALWAYS REMEMBER TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT REALIZATION WHENEVER THINGS AREN'T EASY. I MISS DADDY LOTS, TOO. I KNOW Y'ALL ARE OKAY ON THE OTHER SIDE BUT I SURE DO MISS YOUR PHYSICAL PRESENCE. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF THE SIGNS YOU BOTH SEND ME TO LET ME KNOW YOU ARE STILL WITH ME. PLEASE KEEP WATCHING OVER AND PROTECTING ME~~YOUR BABY GIRL WHO IS NOW A SENIOR CITIZEN! UNTIL WE ARE TOGETHER AGAIN,
ALWAYS LOVING YOU,
YOUR ONLY DAUGHTER

My Grammie was the most amazing person in the whole wide world. She always made me happy. She has entertained me since I was born until I was 24 yrs old. Never a dull moment with her. She was the best cook ever. She was like sunshine on a cloudy day...always lifted my spirits. She loved spending time with me & Kyle (her great-grandson). Her eyes lit up when we would pull up in her driveway(she would always wait outside right before i would get there). I loved her garden, it was beautiful. She made my whole life fun & filled it with great memories. She always complimented me on everything & would just call me to say "I love you". i love her dearly and miss her so much.......

I have read all 33 pages naming those lost in New Orleans and have come to feel as if I have known you all. I am grieving with you even though I am far away. I am in San Francisco, but I am holding you all close to my heart. Love, Laurie

I met Mary Ann over 60 years ago when we were both just out of high school & starting our first jobs with Federal Civil Service. We rode the St. Claude streetcar to work and became good friends. I was a bridesmaid in her wedding, she intorduced me to my husband and I was honored when she asked me to be her daughter Charlene's godmother. So we have a lot of history together and I miss her very much. I miss our chats and phone calls. She was a great storyteller and always had interesting news. When my mother was ill, she loved Mary Ann's visits because Mary Ann told her funny stories that made her laugh and kept her mind off the pain. I miss our shopping trips. Mary Ann always seemed to find the bargains. Krauss was our favorite store. I will miss our all day excursions to the French Quarter, starting off with coffee & beignets and visiting all the little shops and the flea market. And there is so much more I will miss - seeing her at Mardi Gras parades, birthday parties, weddings and coffee klatches. But most of all I will miss her presence in my life and that she is not a phone call away.

I will miss her happiness, enthusiasm, and cheerfulness. She was the most amazing and most caring lady. She was a great friend to everyone and definitely brought smiles to everyone! God Bless!
