Edward J. Grabowski 1914 - 2012 WEST SPRINGFIELD - Edward J. Grabowski, 97, passed away Wed. at the Holyoke Soldiers Home. He was born Sept. 27, 1914 to the late Vincent and Veronica Grabowski. Ed attended local schools and retired from Sterling Radiator. He served in the US Army during WW II. He was a member of the American Legion and W. Spfld Sportsmen's Club. Ed also enjoyed gardening, model trains, metal detecting and fishing. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 68 years, Florence ( Dutilly ) Grabowski in 2010. Ed leaves his loving son Edward W. Grabowski and his wife Catherine of Huntington, MA., and his granddaughter Tameka Thornhill. He was predeceased by his 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Funeral Services will be held THURS. 9 AM from the TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST., followed by a 10 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine St. Burial will follow on St. Thomas Cemetery, Kings Hwy. Calling hours will be held WED. from 5 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Holyoke Soldiers' Home, Activities Fund, 110 Cherry St., Holyoke, MA 01040

Uncle Eddy you will be sadly missed by us from the Towne/Daniels Family. We will miss you so much. Please take care of Aunt Florence. My condolences to the Family and close Friends.

Eddie was the father George didn't have growing up, I will be forever grateful for how Flo and Eddie looked after him when he needed it the most.
They were very special folks and are both missed Love and prayers always, Carol and George
