Lucy, my deepest and heartfelt sympathies on the loss of your Mother. Fond memories from childhood past of the way your Mom and Dad welcomed me into your home. Fond memories of our association and your parents have been carried with me all these years.
May you find solace in the knowledge that you Mother (and Father) are now together in the celestial kingdom being embraced in the safety and love our Lord.
A poem I like to share for people who experience loss is an old Indian prayer that was shared with me when I lost my Mom....
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
Prayers and thoughts with you in this difficult time.
