Shall always remember John at CrossRip Nantucket, sitting in his armchair with his pipe and martini with his bulldog besides him, very peaceful scene. Rest in peace John.
Noel and Johanne
Reed and Mestek Family,
A great leader and mentor, John had a grounding in the business uncommon among CEO's of public or private companies and was the inspiration to his many colleagues at Mestek on the value of training and internal promotion. He hired some great people! All the best to his legacy, Mestek.
I am very sorry for your loss of a great man. I worked for Mr Reed for 11 years as VP of Corporate Engineering. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I worked with John Reed.
Stewart and family,
My sympathy is extended to you in your time of sorrow. It was a pleasure to know and work for such a great man.
Please accept my deepest sympathy. He was a great leader- first to the office and last to leave. He inspired many people. A great coach. Mr. Reed will be missed.
An inspiration, a great leader, the ultimate entrepreneur, with great intelligence and dignity, all with a great sense of humor! You are loved an missed by many.
A gentleman and bottom line businessman, a rare combination. I enjoyed being associated with the gentleman and working with and for the businessman. The pipe aroma was a plus! RIP.
My sincere sympathy to the Reed family: Margarita, Mestek, Inc.

My deepest sympathy to the loss of Mr Reed. He has my highest respect for all he accomplished in his life, may he rest in peace. God Bless.
Mr. Reed will be truly missed. He was one of the first people I met when I moved to Westfield. I would sit with him at the Foster House and listen to him talk about everything. Most I didn't get, but what a smart and interesting man he was. So down to earth and kind and fun to spend time with. I will cherish the memories.
My heart felt condolences to his family. Mr. Reed was a very special person and accomplished so much in his life. He will be very missed. He had a strong impact on my life and I admired him greatly
So sorry about your Dad, thinking of you.
Please accept my deepest sympathy.
My mentor for 31 years and a dear friend. He always let me run my business as if it were my own. We had fun being successful together. I will always remember our many trips to Nantucket.
We have all been made better by your association, privileged by your tutelage and inspired by your leadership.
Please accept my deepest sympathies.
John was a close family friend of my dad's, who enjoyed talking business, smoking a cigar, and listening to jazz at the house. He loved to dance, and he twirrled me around the floor of a beautiful hotel in DC when 'our dad's, took us to see the Capital, on our 13th birthdays. He loved to sit at the kitchen table and have a knockwurst dinner with both mum and dad. His work ethic was certainly, extraordinary!
Rest in peace John, you put in a full day, and then some. Judy
