We were very sorry to learn Al that you and your children lost your own Dr Mwanga. Our mutual patients were so touched by her caring expertise and her tireless commitment, and my office staff and I didn't realize that she was ill. She was the kind of doctor who in so many ways will be irreplaceable in our medical community and I am very sorry that you and your children didn't have more time with her.
Dr Brigid Glackin

Dear Dr. Lareau and Family, I was deeeply shocked and moved by the passing of Dr. Mawanga. She was my Doctor and I can honestly say that I have never been cared for by a more passionate and caring person. She always took the time to console me when my mother was dying and I was having problems with my family. Her face lit up the room and she never rushed me to move onto her next patient. It was a privilege to call her my Dr. and I wonder if I will ever find anyone so kind as her to treat me. My condolences to your family and hope you all can find comfort in the many lives she affected in such a positive manner.
My deepest condolences to your family.

She was in her second month of every third night call, and she was in her third trimester, yet through the sleep deprivation and the pregnancy, she remained a phenomenal doctor and teacher. Her dedication and humanity remains an inspiration to me. May God give your family peace.

"Life.....so fragile, Loss....so sudden, Heart....so broken,...in the wake of such a loss, we are haunted by things we don't, and may never understand. Yet the solace we seek may not come from answers. So we look for comfort in the belief of love's everlasting connection. May that love lift you and hold you close, and give you peace."

To the Lareau family...Reh was such a special person-doctor, wife, mother, and friend. Such a kind, positive person who loved her Lord and family. She will be truly missed. We were so blessed knowing her.
I have never met anyone that exhibited the fruits of the spirit more than Reh.
The Message (MSG)
22-23 But what happens when we live God's way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.
We are thankful for the gift of her example and life and give glory to God for His healing mercies. Our love and prayers for her loving family as they allow for the hole left in their hearts...

To the Family of Rehema Mwanga-Lareau:
I simply can't begin to describe what a special person and consummate physician your mom and wife were and my sadness for your loss is bottomless.
I got to know Rehema because when Al heard I was deploying to Iraq and need phsyicians to cover my practice he recognized the importance of my mission and he suggested Rehema.
She ended up being the "Chief Medical Officer" here when I left and my staff and the patients have never stopped talking about how much they all loved her.
I had no idea that she had any health problems since she always looked so healthy and always had such an upbeat attitude.
Rehema always inspired me with her faith and she has motivated me to practice my own faith with increased devotion.
I feel a huge sense of loss but my deepest sadness is for her own suffering and for you her family.
I will try to keep in touch with you into the future and will always try to keep Rehema's memory in my heart.
Dr Martin Lesser & staff
