Dear Nancy and Family, I just received the sad news of Jim's Passing. My deepest sympathy and prayers I am sending to you from my heart. I was privledged to know him as Sargent in the 43/2nd Pa regiments. I carried the colors and he was at my side many times. He was a fine gentleman and a friend.God bless you all. Don & Gail Maley

Hi Nancy, Jay, and family. I'm a revolutionary war reenactor going back to my teenage years starting in 1973. Not sure if you guys remember me but I lived in Stamford back then. We had a whole bunch of teenagers living in fairfield county and Jim would pick us up to take us to events before we could drive. I can't even begin to describe the wonderful memories of Jim. He was always such a great guy with us. I'm not sure most men could have dealt with a car load of crazy teenage boys as well as he did. Hearing of his passing has unleashed a flood of memories of those days. I can still see him in my mind behind the steerin gwheel as we cruised down the Jersey Turnpike. Who would have thought that 40 years later I would still be doing it. I'm very saddened by his passing and I am keeping your family in my thoughts.
