I got to know Karen while she was at Heritage Hall recovering from her last stroke. She shared a room with my mother Lorraine and we spent many an afternoon chatting away about all kinds of things. Her family, especially her children, were so very important to her. She was a very kind and helpful person. My mom has Alzheimer's and Karen was so good to her, always encouraging her to do what little she could. I am thankful for having known her. My sympathies to her children, family and friends.
