Janey, David, and familly
So sad to hear of Dicky's passing. Janey, I know he is a major part of your being and you must be missing that part that has always been with you. He is still in your heart. The pictures on FB are wonderful. Take care my dear friend. Love you, Annie
Dear Family of Dickie,
I first met Dickie at my wedding! He was one of our attendants. I got to know him better when he was a neighbor of ours in McLean, Virginia. Then when he returned to Monson and we would visit at Christmas, I would have the joy of visiting all the Anables on Flynt Avenue. They were a great, vibrant and caring family.
In later years, we would see Dickie on our quick stays in Monson. He had that same wry sense of humor and often talked of Eric and Robin and his two grandsons.
We know he is at peace, in a better place, hiking in Heaven and with his loving parents.
I am so glad that David can be there with you all as you say your final farewell. David and Dickie's friendship was a memorable childhood of marbles, playing basketball in the Anable's barn, enjoying Eva's excellent Italian cooking and competing all the time!
My condolences to all,
Natalie Martin
Dick and I were best friends growing up in Monson. We were always together then and those strong bonds between us never diminished throughout our lives.
We shared wonderful, innocent times in our childhood participating in scouts, sports and neighborhood activities.
In our adult years, we became even closer since we were fortunate to live near each other in McLean, Virginia.
I always admired Dick for being a good loving, supportive father to both his children. They are his lasting legacy.
His passing leaves a big void in my life, but I will always carry good memories of our youthful adventures.
Dick is now happily walking in heaven.
My heartfelt sympathies go out to his son, Eric, daughter, Robin, his older brother, David, and twin sister, Jane.
