Dear Bob: I am sorry that this message is so late, but I was not aware of Vivian's passing until today, 1 Oct. Charlie Lee sends me the MLBC bulletin once in a while and I noticed that the prayer concerns included the Overstreet family, so I was concerned but did not know who had passed away. I attend the church only twice a year now, and should have asked someone like Audrey Hibler about that note in the bulletin, but unfortunately I did not do so. A former member of the church sent me Barb Snack's obituary today and that led me to check the Post-Gazette obituaries. That is how I found out. Please accept my condolances and I pray that you will be comforted by your faith and love.
It was with great sadness that I learned of Vivian's death. I went to grade school, high school, and the same church with her. I had no contact with her in my adult life but I never forgot her. I extend my sincere sympathy to the entire family.

Bob, you and Vivian are trully wonderful individuals. She no doubt has a special place in heaven. Debbie, myself and the kids will never forget the treats she would send over and her gardening advice was always appreciated. How lucky we are to have neighbors like you and Vivian in our lives over the past 13 years.

I was fortunate to get to know Vivian as a Friend of the Library in Upper St Clair. On USC senior class prom day in 2007, we discovered that we had something else in common - Vivian's granddaughter Chelsea and my daughter Rebecca were classmates. After that whenever we met at the library we would exhcange news about the girls, what they were pursuing at college and how they were doing. Vivian was a true bright spirit on this earth. She was always so cheerful and positive, even as she shared news of her illness. The phrase "she will be truly missed" genuinely applies. My sincer condolences to the Overstreet family.
