Joanne Krasin, age 68, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Nov 7, 2017 at Holyoke Medical Center. She was born in Holyoke on Oct 4, 1949 to the late Frederick and Rita (Shea) Lubold. Joanne is a former communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. She leaves 1 daughter Rebecca Krasin of Chicopee; 2 sons Thomas Krasin of NY and Michael Krasin of VA; 1 sister Deborah Lubold of Holyoke; 1 brother Robert Lubold of NM; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and 2 lifelong friends since childhood Inez Rydzak and Karen Hamel. She was predeceased by 1 son Sean Krasin who passed away in 2013 and 1 sister Maureen Klee who passed away in 2000. Joanne's joy in life was her family, doing things with them, and for them. She was especially close to her grandchildren and great grandchildren in the area, Danny, Desirae, Jamie, Jamie Jr. Seanna, Nevaeh, Sean Jr., and Skylee. She was a New England Patriots fan and especially enjoyed watching the games with her nephew Bobby Klee, his wife Ruth, and their sons Sean and Kyle. Joanne loved the ocean with fond memories of her childhood vacations at Nantasket Beach with her Mom and sister Debbie, and in later years with her own children. She was a dedicated cafeteria worker for the Holyoke Public Schools for 20 years. Calling Hours will be held on Thurs, Nov 16, 2017 from 4 to 7 PM at the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St. Chicopee, MA with a Prayer Service to take place at 6:30 PM. Burial is private.
