Leo DeLucchi Obituary

Leo DeLucchi 1930 - 2013 WESTFIELD - Leo DeLucchi, 83, entered into eternal rest on January 30, 2013. Born in Agawam, January 8, 1930, he lived in Agawam, Otis, and Westfield. He was a graduate of Agawam High School class of 1948 and attended several Air Force Service schools. He retired from the United States Air Force in 1973 with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. After his retirement from the military, he worked for Shawmut Bank where he retired in 1986. While in the Air Force, he served in Germany, Guam, Turkey, Vietnam, and many locations in the U.S. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam and many other awards during his service career. He was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association and also on the board of trustees for the Glen Mill Condominiums for many years. He worshiped at the First United Methodist Church of Westfield where he was an usher, served on the Staff Parish Committee, and a member of the Men's Club. He was the son of the late Joseph and Pauline (Ricci) DeLucchi. He was predeceased by his brother Mario DeLucchi in 1991. He leaves two nephews, John DeLucchi of Westfield, Michael DeLucchi of Agawam, and a niece, Ann Macey and her husband, Wayne of Agawam. A visiting hour will be held on Tuesday February 5, 2013 from 12 noon until his funeral with Full Military Honors at 1 PM in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Leo to the First United Methodist Church of Westfield, 16 Court Street, Westfield, MA 01085 or to the charity of one's choice.
