Martin J. Rohan 1913 - 2012 SPRINGFIELD - Martin J. Rohan, 99, passed away Thursday in Mercy Medical Center. He was born July 28, 1913 to the late John and Jennie Rohan. Martin worked for over 37 years as a tire inspector for Uniroyal. He enjoyed his daily swim at the Boys and Girls Club and was a loyal and faithful Notre Dame Football Fan. Martin was married for 54 years to the love of his life, Mary (McGovern) who died in 1996. He leaves his loving children; Martin Rohan Jr. and his companion Brenda Murphy of Conway, SC., Alice Gentile and her husband Michael of Wilb., John Rohan and his wife Sandra of Feeding Hills, and James Rohan of Spfld, his 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his 4 brothers, John, George, Michael and James and his sister Agnes. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 9 -10:30 AM at the SAMPSON FUNERAL HOME, 710 LIBERTY ST., followed by an 11 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut St., Spfld. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Boys and Girls Club, 481 Carew St., Spfld, MA 01104.
