Patrick L. Petitt

Patrick L. Petitt, 60, of Springfield, a beloved father, brother, and grandfather passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 surrounded by his family at Baystate Medical Center. Patrick, a son of the late George O. and Madeline Ann (Driscoll) Petitt was born in Springfield on January 17, 1955. He was raised in Springfield on Hiawatha Street and has resided in Springfield most of his life. Patrick worked as an executive chef for several area restaurants. In addition to his parents, Patrick was predeceased by a son, Patrick Petitt. He is survived by a daughter, Melissa Petitt of Springfield; two sons, Dylan Petitt of Longmeadow and Shawn Boilard-Petitt of Boston; three brothers, Ken Petitt and his wife Maria of Wilbraham, Charles Petitt and his wife Sharon of Westfield, and David Petitt of Delaware; a sister, Debbie Petitt McCormack and husband Wayne of Somers, CT; a granddaughter, Gemma Rose Petitt; three step siblings, Lynn, Gayle, and Richard Kopeski; along with several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours for Patrick will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 5 to 7 pm at Sampson’s, Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home, 21 Tinkham Road, Springfield. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Patrick’s memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA 02115.
