Phyllis LaFontaine Witt 1931 - 2013 Moulton, AL - Phyllis LaFontaine Witt passed away at home on May 9, 2013. She was born in Holyoke, MA to Philip LaFontaine and Mary (Shea) LaFontaine. She was a devout Catholic who attended and graduated from Holyoke High School. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, James A. Witt. She leaves two sons: James A. Witt, Jr., Bart P. Witt, and was predeceased by another son, Keith A. Witt. She also leaves a brother, Donald LaFontaine; two sisters: Sandra LaFontaine Cole, and Marilou LaFontaine Moore; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14 from 11:00-1:00 at Parkway Funeral Home, 23599 Highway 24, Trinity, AL 35673. The funeral service will be held at 1:00p.m. at Parkway and she will be laid to rest in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church, 3910 Spring Ave. SW, Decatur, AL 35603.

I enjoyed our times of reminiscing and asking about our ancestors, recipes, and hearing her funny stories of our growing up years. I'll hold onto those (best I can at my age...LOL)
Happiness is to know the Saviour, and He saved the best for last...Praise GOD our Father, Jesus, our Saviour, and the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. I love you Phyllis...thank You LORD for giving her to me for my big sister! I love YOU Three!!! Be blessed, family and friends. GOD is LOVE.

I only really got to know my cousin Phyllis this past year and a half but I am grateful for that time. It was because of Facebook that I was able to communicate with her & kept in touch with her She just loved her whole family so very much. The world is sadder without her here but heaven has a wonderful angel. Bless you Cousin Phyllis
