Not sure what to say?

Richard and I were boyhood friends in Seattle. We worked in a salmon cannery in Hawk Inlet, Alaska in 1956. I was also in the USAF, stationed at Geiger Field in Spokane, WA when Richard was at Fairchild AFB. I last saw him in approx. 1981. We played softball just like we did as kids. I think about hi often.

I was deeply saddened when I heard the news of Gus' passing especially since I tried to make contact with him once again in the week preceding his untimely departure. You all have my deepest condolences. Today, I will be a part of a Funeral Service at Florida National Cemetery and surely, Gus will be foremost in my thoughts and prayers.
