The Honorable Maynard Holbrook Jackson, Jr. was and will always be known as The Pioneer for providing economic opportunities for not only African-Americans in Atlanta, but for ALL Americans throughout this Nation. His vision for building individuals, building businesses, and building commuinites was and is the footprint for making America successful. Maynard Jackson showed America and the World that if opportunities exist for all of God's children, that we will succeed by great measures. He was the BEST advocate for economic equality that this World has ever seen. On behalf of the Michigan Democratic Party Black Caucus, my condolences to his lovely family, the City of Atlanta, the State of Georgia, and these United States of America.

Derek S. Albert
Chairman
