Carl R. "Iggy" Henzel

Henzel, Carl "Iggy" R.Carl "Iggy" R. Henzel, 88, of Whitehall, died Thursday, May 8th, 2014, at Liberty Nursing Home in Allentown. He was the husband of the late Catherine R. (Duracinsky) Henzel. Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Taplan) Henzel. Carl was a WWII Navy veteran. He worked for many years as a jeweler and watchmaker, owning and operating his own business in Allentown. Prior to that he worked for Apple Jewelers. Carl and Catherine also owned and operated the Front Street Tavern in Catasauqua. Survivors: Surviving is his daughter Sheryl, wife of Stephen Keppel of Schnecksville and his son Carl R. Jr. of Whitehall. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers John Jr. & Martin and a sister Mary Szilezy. Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 11:00am at the Agape New Testament Fellowship Church, 5229 Route 873, Schnecksville, PA 18078. His calling will be 10:00am until 11:00am Saturday at the church prior to the service. Contributions: Memorial contributions may be made in his name payable to the Church.
