Charlotte..I remeber you father very well from living a couple of doors down from us in Dover..I remember him coming in from work when we were hanging out drinking coke watching tv at your house in the summer. I also worked with him at Cedarbrook.
I was stationed at Dover AFB with John from 1967-1969. John had a wonderful sense of humor and kept us laughing a lot. I've lost track of most of my military buddies, but I'd surely like them to know of John's passing. He took a lot of flack from those of us who were considerably younger than he, but we did it all in good fun. I was proud to know John, and I often wondered about him after I moved on to other bases. I extend my condolences to the entire family.
Dear dad I will miss you greatly for all your love and support during my years on this earth, you can now rest and be with your family once again, we will see you when it is our time. love always your son Jack.
I was sorry to read of John's passing.. He was always very kind and helpful to me. My prayers are with you.
Aunt Wanda,Charlotte and John I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss his phone calls to tell me it is raining in Topeka. Uncle Jack was such a caring man with a big heart and a short fuse to his temper. I will miss his sense of humor most of all. I am sorry I can not be there with you but you are all in my thoughts and prayers and always in my heart.

Extending sincere sympathy to the Eckrode Family in the passing of John. We worked together at Cedarbrook for many years. John was a dedicated security officer always giving his all. Dedicated firemen too. Treasure your many memories of a life well-lived.
