My prayers to the coaches family. I first met coach Woolridge during my first season as an LA Spark. He was a very energetic and passionate coach. He will always be remembered by me for his desire and will to win. He had a play the size of the dictionary (lol), but that showed how much he invested into the game...Rest Coach, for you will forever be missed.

This is like one of those happy/sad moments. Happy because he is sleeping in the arms of Jesus and sad because we will miss him very much on this side. But the good news is that we will see him again in that great RESSURECTION. Praying and asking God to comfort the family continually. It is well. Orlando is not in anymore pain. So elated thatI had the opportunity to spend time with him before his death as his frind/home girl and Professional Social Worker to let him know that I loved him because God said we should love everyone. He was so special to God.

To the Woolridge Family:
I met O many years ago at the Grambling basketball camp. I remember him growing about 6 inches over one year and came back the next summer so good that he didn't even play with the other campers! But he was always the same....personable, talented, funny. Always admired his talent, how cool he was and the fact that he still considered me a friend. As my mother passed away during this same week, I will always remember his thru his life and death. Rest easy knowing that he was a great guy to all....and remember that God is a God of all comfort and mercy.

I had the pleasure of serving Orlando, and his lovely wife, Pat for the years they spent in Los Angeles, when I ran the Beverly Hills Cheesecake Factory. Orlando was a class act, warm, gracious, and unaffected by celebrity. I was indeed sad to learn of his passing today. To be absent with the body is to be present with the Lord. See you in paradise, my friend.
