My heart is broken. Our General, and the greatest hero of our time has passed, never to be replaced. I'm a calligrapher & during the end of the Gulf War I lettered the General's favorite song "I'm Proud to be an American", framed it and sent it to him. He responded within three days & said he would find a prominent place in his home for it. Everytime I hear this song I will always think of the General. It is who he was. My sincere condolences to his wife, children and the rest of his family. He will never be forgotten. God Bless.

Brenda,
Our prayers are with you and your children during this difficult time. Norm was a great boss and mentor but an even better friend. I will always remember our fishing hunting and skiing adventures in Alaska and Virginia. You always knew where you stood with your husband and what he was going to love or hate. If it was good for the troops he was always on board.
We will miss him.

You will be missed by ALL who served in the Army during Vietnam & Desert Storm. Your family's loss is also a loss to ALL Amry familes and our nation. God speed and keep on smiling in heaven. During OEF/OIF I served under GEN Franks as the HQ CMDT. Thanks for serving 35 years in the Army. May you rest in peace at Arlington.

America has lost a great patriot son for whom I have DEEP RESPECT! Fair winds and following seas General. It was a high honor to serve under such a GREAT MAN!
