Weida, James A.James A. Weida,87, of Hellertown, passed away Monday June 29, 2015. He was born on May 22, 1928 in Hellertown, the son of the late Arthur and Esther (Hoffert) Weida. He was the loving husband of the late Mary (Pirscenok) Weida to whom he was married for 57 years. James worked for Bethlehem Steel Corporation. He was a member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Bethlehem. He loved cooking the halupki for "Russian Days." James was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He loved golfing, fishing and hunting. He and his wife loved spending winters in Florida, where they were members of the Savannah Club. Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Dr. Thomas Weida and wife Dr. Jane Weida of Lititz, Pa, Brother Richard Weida, Sister Doris Faesoli and 4 grandchildren, Nicholas, Katherine, Emily and Peter. Services: Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 980 Bridle Path Rd. Bethlehem, Pa. 18017. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday July 5, 2015 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa 18018, with Parastas service at 7 p.m. and Monday morning from 9-10 a.m. at the Church.
