Bennicoff, John H.John H. Bennicoff, 69, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 09, 2014, at the Inpatient Hospice of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Dianne M. (Mitman) Bennicoff. They would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on November 19th. Born in Allentown on January 10, 1945, he was a son of the late Frank and Ida (Romig) Rosenberger. John was a graduate of Dieroff High School, class of 1963. He enjoyed a successful career of 48 years with Penn State Paper & Box Co., Allentown before retiring as the office manager. John was also employed by Two Guys Department Stores in Allentown, where he worked part-time in the hardware department for 28 years. He was a member of St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem, and he was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. John was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Dianne, he is survived by his children, Duane Bennicoff and his fiancée, Nicole of Macungie, and Lori Ruch and her husband, Douglas of Palmerton; six (6) grandchildren, Tanner, Amanda, Jesse, Julia, Payton, and Chase; a brother, Fred Bennicoff of Allentown; his sister, Audrey Herring and her husband, William of Arizona; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Rosenberger. Services: A memorial service in celebration of John's life will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 67 W. Washington Avenue, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Monday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the church. Interment will be private. Arrangements provided by the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., Village of Moorestown - Bath. Contributions: in memory of John may be made to St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
