Houtz, David C.David C. Houtz, 72, of Palmerton, formerly of Catasauqua, died Wednesday, June 25th at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem. He was the husband of Judith Houtz of Palmerton. Born in Bellefonte, PA he was a son of the late Nevin and Evelyn Louise (Cramer) Houtz. David worked in the maintenance department for FedChem for 46 years before retiring. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt. David served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. Survivors: Surviving along with his wife Judith are his daughter Tammy Walker of Catasauqua; sons Dan and wife Suzette Houtz of Catasauqua and Chris Houtz of Bethlehem; sister Janet and husband Don Auker of State College; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Donald. Services: Funeral services will be held at 7pm Wednesday July 2nd, at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, 18032. His viewing will be from 6-7pm at the funeral home. Contributions: Memorial contributions may be made in his name, payable to Northampton County Youth Field Day Foundation, PO BOX 462, Stockertown, PA 18083-0462.
