Not sure what to say?

To Mel, Jr.: I was thinking of the Red Sox and you this morning, and found this Facebook page about your Dad. It reminded me of when I tried to call you in the fall of 2004 to wish you congratulations on winning the series. The 411 information operator gave me your Dad's phone number instead. Ms. Velma, Yank, Barbara, Patti, Sheryl:
Our sincerest condolences upon the passing of Mr. Mel. A truly kind and humble man.

My dad, Joe Macaluso, played sandlot ball with Mr. Parnell in the "old" neighborhood. They last had contact when both were undergoing treatment in 2003 (a few months before dad died). I understand that they had a great time reminiscing and the doctors and the nurses...

We are so sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you and your family.
