ADRIANA M. MARTIGNONI (BRIZZI) AKA "NONI"
8/10/1917-2/11/2014
Adriana Martignoni was born to Amilia and Emilcare Brizzi on August 10, 1917 in Granaglione, Balogna, Italy and passed away on February 11, 2014 in Merced, CA at the age of 96.
She immigrated to Gonzales, CA in 1925 where she later graduated from Gonzales High School. On September 11, 1938 in Gonzales, CA she married Alfred J. Martignoni and eventually they settled in Merced, CA.
Adriana was involved in the the Eagles Auxiliary as a charter member for over 50 years, member of Italian Women's Club, and ICF (Italian Catholic Federation).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred "Fred" Martignoni; son, Don A. Martignoni; and sisters, Eva Barlogio, Laura Daniel, Annie Rubbo and Rene Freitas.
Adriana leaves behind her children, Darlene (Chuck) Stollings of Merced and Ronald "Ron" (Margie) Martignoni of Fresno; grandchildren, Melissa Weisz, Mike Martignoni and Stacey Ibrahimi; and great grandchildren, Ryan Odishoo, Austin Martignoni, Jessica and Rachael Weisz, and Megan Ibrahimi.
Services will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, CA on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11:00am.
