Danny Lee Stewart
May 20, 1948 - February 11, 2013
Danny Stewart was born in Merced on May 20, 1948. He passed away in Fresno with family at his side on Monday, February 11, 2013 at the age of 64. Danny grew up in Merced where he attended local schools and was a graduate of Merced High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army working for the Missile Program in Germany in the Black Forest.
Preceded in death by his father Elmo Stewart and brother Larry Stewart. Danny is survived by sons Danny Stewart II and Christopher Stewart, his mother Reba Stewart, brother Allen Stewart, sisters Shirley Alexander, Debra Cowden and Stephanie Webster, granddaughter Ashlen Grace as well as numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday February 17, 2013 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at Whitton Family Funeral Service, 740 W. 19th Street in Merced. Funeral service will be held Monday, February 18, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Gospel Defender Church, 2909 N. Beachwood Dr. in Merced. Military Honors will be provided by the California State Honor Guard. Burial at Merced District Cemetery will be private.
Arrangements are entrusted to Whitton Family Funeral Service in Merced.
