I am honored to have served under your command. You demanded our best yet always had our best welfare at heart. It wasn't about politics with you - it was about accomplishing the mission and looking out for those in your command. Lead on my General.

I never had the opportunity of meeting this fine Officer in person, but as a veteran I will miss him dearly. May you rest in peace. You and your family are in my prayers. I wrote a poem earlier that I would like to dedicate to a General who will be missed.

A Veterans Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father up above
We ask you fill our hearts with love
We give ourselves to defend our land
Across the seas in blood drenched sand

The battle rages everyday
We ask You guide us along our way
Our brothers and sisters who don't come home
May they rest in Peace and never be alone

We count the days as the end draws near
Trying to stay strong and show no fear
Our families wait with arms stretched wide
For the day we are together side by side

So as the tears fall down our face
We ask you Lord please keep us safe.

Deepest sympathy, thoughts & prayers go out to the family and friends of General Schwarzkopf. He was a fine leader and made people feel a bit safer with him in the lead. He was a fine example of what this country needs and he did a fine job leading our troops. God bless & comfort each of you in your time of sorrow and in the days, weeks, & months to come.
