My husband and I are very saddened to hear about Doug Murphy's passing. We consider the Bay Area as our home base and on visits "home" we would always enjoy watching Doug on KPIX and be
reassured by his resounding yet comforting manner. We also had the
pleasure of knowing "Murph" on a casual basis and have very fond memories of our encounters. We send our deepest sympathies to his family.

Doug,

I feel that we can be on a first name basis. I have watched you for years and was surprised to hear of your leaving us here to start the next journey. We will miss you. Watch us from above and we will meet again.

We are very fortunate to have had Doug doing what he loved too do, for both the community and his family. He will be greatly missed

I was very sorry to hear about Doug Murphy's death. He came once about 7 or 8 years ago and spoke at the A's Booster Luncheon and brought his daughter Madison with him and it was the first time anybody from Ch.5 had come to it. I enjoyed listening to him speak and he was a very pleasant person. He will be missed , especially by his children. May he rest in peace.

Yours truly,
Diane Franet
