You were not just my doctor, you were a grandpa to me!

Gene was my doctor from the age of 12 until he retired, over 25 years. He was a remarkable man, Doctor, and friend. Through him I learned what real Jazz was and have the fondest memories because of him. He truly left a wonderful legacy!

I just drafted a little note to Dr Levitz to tell him that his second oldest patient, my mother-in-law, had just passed her last 2-digit birthday on May 10. When I looked up his address on the Internet, I discovered that Dr Levitz had passed. How sad that he didn't get more time in retirement. We all remember how kind and funny Dr Levitz was. The perfect soul for a doctor, jazz included. Our very late condolences to his family.

I'm only just now hearing the news of my beloved Dr. Levitz passing. I adored this man and miss seeing from time to time. I'll always remember his wonderful humanity and delightful sense of humor. He made going to the doctor a treat and something to look forward to. May he rest in peace. ~Kathleen Warner
