We just found out of Skip's passing. He was a regular at the local coffee shop. He was a very kind man to both me and my mom. His birthday and year is just one day off from my Mom's. He liked the fact he was a Scorpio. We were shocked to find that he passed almost on this birthday. I gave him a small tabletop Christmas Tree two years ago. I delivered it to his his house during a rain storm. He was so happy, as he said he had not had one since the passing of his wife. I was glad to make him happy. If we didn't see him, we would phone him to say hello. He was often a very busy senior, and loved his military history. He was a true gentleman! We lost a true kind man of integrity and spirit. We will miss you "Skippy".
It seems like forever. It seems like yesterday. We miss you and love you, Uncle Skip.
It is hard to believe it has been a year that you left us. You are missed very much. But little things will occur that make think of you so we remember you with love and humor. Sempre Fi.

Skip, I know you are watching over your family and those of us that are your extended family because I can hear your voice when I am about to do something wrong. You will always be a light for me when it is dark. Remember the ARMY guys can't keep up with you up there, so cut them some slack! I will see you again someday and I hope you will be proud of me.
Our family continues to be touched by the love and respect shown for Skip by so many during the past year. As we mark the one-year anniversary of Dad's transition to new life, we count our blessings for all that he was and continues to be in our life.
Hello Skip, Think you often and miss your hugs! You are still such an inspiration to me and my family. Thank for being such a good friend to us and for allowing me to escort you to so many Military events. Thinking of you on Veterans Day 2013. Gloria, Jose, Patricia, and Christina

Words cannot adequately convey the gratitude our family has for everyone who was there for dad during his life, and there to support our family since his passing. You have honored Skip, and you have honored us by your presence, kind words, and prayers. Semper Fi, Gunny. Mission accomplished.
Thank you all so very much for your kind words, and all you did for my Dad. Your love and kindness will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Dad - and enjoy dancing with Mom again...

Rest my friend, be at peace with Pauline. I expect that there are many who will greet you with a loving heart on heavens shores. We were blessed that such men came before us; we are richer to have known Skip, I am proud to have called him my friend. Rest in peace Gunny … your friends and a proud nation mourns our loss.
The angels' better watch out when you land on their shore, but Heaven is in good hands with you on guard duty. I will miss you my friend. Safe journey.
Brian, Gina and Family. Sincere condolences to all. He was truly one of the greatest generation.
No one did more to assure that America would pause once a year to remember and reflect on what your generation achieved for all mankind, Skip. Your story will always be told down through the years on the second Sunday in every August, on the annual day that you helped create to honor all of the men and women of our Greatest Generation. Time for you to rest now and let the next generation do what they can to live up to your example of courage, shared sacrifice and commitment to service to community and country. Semper Fi!
In memory of SKIP ADAMS
Once a Marine, Always A Marine
I salute you, Skip!
Brian, Steve and family members, please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your father. What a wonderful life he lived in so many ways! And it was great to see your father earlier this year and I finally got the chance to tell him that he was a REAL American hero as the very brave Marine that he was in the war and that I thanked him for serving our country so gallantly.
Please be at peace knowing that he is alive and well in Heaven with your dear mom and that he will never suffer again. And he will continue to love and watch over you spiritually as death does NOT end a father's love for his dear family.
May God give all of you the inner strength to endure during this most difficult time in your lives. And always know that I will have fond memories of your parents and my visits with them at your home. May your dad forever rest in peace with your mom in Heaven.
Dear Brian and Gina,
Our sympathies to you and your family. Skip will really be missed, especially at the SJV 9:00am Sunday Mass. We will keep you in our prayers.
