I worked with Ko at Key Market for years. I will always remember his kindness and his sense of humor; I will miss him. My sincere sympathy for his family.

Hi Jun,

My name is Joyce Chen. My son is Robert Chen, who was in the same Cub Scout Pack as you, Pack 611. Robert's father, Peter Chen, and your father coached CYS baseball together.
I didn't know your father that well but my memories of him is that he was a kind, gentle, and loving man. The Japanese word for that is oto nau shi.
It was a shock to hear of your father's death. I heard that you took very good care of him during his illness. You must be a very caring and loving young man like your dad.
Jun, your dad will always be in your heart. May the wonderful memories you have of him comfort you.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your sister, Mio

With Deepest Sympathy,

Joyce M. Chen

A fellow member of the dojo as well, I remember Mr Aoki being courageous but compassionate, especially with the children. A great example for all to follow.

Our family is sorry for your loss, and we know that God will listen to your prayers and give you the strength during this difficult time, like Psalms 102:17 says "He will certainly turn to the prayer of those stripped of everything, and not despise their prayer."

Sensei Aoki was a good example of a person with good character which is the main goal of karate.

The dojo will miss him because he was a fine human being.

As one who trained with Kokichi, I will always remember him as one to admire. His strong technique and impeccable character was one to learn from and appreciate. You will be missed, Kokichi.
