I fondly remember Mrs. Cang and her ever present cardigan in the 1970's at Notre Dame. She made me the responsible, politically active person I am today. Her memory will live on in all of her former students

Hello Cang family, Mrs Cang was one of my high school teachers at Notre Dame High School in Salinas, Ca in the 1970's. She was a very good teacher, one of the few whom I actually remember! May prayers and peace be with you during this time of remembrance.
Sincerely, Maria (Zanger) Middleton

Rest in peace Mrs. Cang. Please forgive us for all our crazy antics in your English class and thank you for making us better people and writers.

Margaret. I'm sorry you have left this earth, and glad you've gone to heaven now. You've been a remarkeable friend, and here's what I have loved about you.
First, you were really smart, and had such a broad world view. You could talk about anything. You were interested in all of life around you.

Second, I greatly admired you for being so endlessly supportive of and faithful to your husband, your children and their families, your students, and your friends - and you put them all in that order of priority - very sensible.

Your were a truly generous person in every way.

On top of that, you were full of joy. I loved the way you laughed so easily. Your delight showed in your whole being - the wide grin - the rounded pink cheeks - eyes crinkled up and sparkling. You would clasp your hands to your chest and shake with laughter.

Oh Margaret, I will remember you always.
