Andrew was born on December 17th, 1982 in Charleston, Ill to Drew and Sue (Snyder) Cooper. He grew up in the small town of Middletown, Indiana.
As a child he managed a paper route for the Indianapolis Star and discovered a 50 year old skeleton in the walls of the 1898 Masonic Temple building where his family lived. He was home schooled throughout high school and he enjoyed math and computer science.
Andy enrolled and graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a bachelor's in Computer Science.
He and his brother, Joey, published an online magazine called Mac Users Militia Newsletter.
Andy worked for Guidant in St. Paul, Minnesota. He moved to West Lafayette, In and worked for Griffin Analytical Technologies (FLIR) until he moved to Carmel, In to work for Technicolor, Inc. After Technicolor, Andy was offered a job at Amazon.com in San Jose, CA. Andy was working on a high-priority project for Amazon.com
Andy was very smart, logical and organized. He loved to go on adventures with his family and friends and enjoyed creating off the wall projects at home. He made a solar boiler and a windmill with his wife. He was not conventional and loved efficiency and creativity. He was good at drawing and loved to draw at work. Andy loved to read. He learned to ride the unicycle and juggle. In his free time, he worked on homemade software projects and loved biking with his sons. Andy was very generous and loved to give back to those in need.
He is survived by his wife, Amber Cooper; and his children, Jonah, Gabriel, & Lucy.
A Service will be held on Sat, Dec 7 at 4:30pm at Cusimano Colonial Mortuary 96 W El Camino Real, Mountain View.
He wanted to be remembered with his favorite quote, "My only regret is that I had Boneitis"
