Resident of San Jose
Genevieve Marie Merlino passed away peacefully in her home on October 15, 2013 at age 81.
A native of San Jose, she spent her entire teaching career in the Alum Rock school district as a reading specialist, beloved by both students and colleagues.
Genevieve is survived by her first cousin, Jayne F. Maggipinto; numerous other cousins and friends.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, Oct. 25 at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 2650 Madden Ave., San Jose, 95116.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
