Resident of San Jose
Gordon passed away peacefully with his wife at his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Jacqueline Wells; his sister, Delvina Wells.
Gordon was an avid scuba diver and he loved to travel. He was a great life philospoher whose advice was constantly sought by his friends. His favorite pastime was spending time with his loving wife of 35 years, Lani, whom he absolutely adored.
Gordon was a sweet, loving man with an incredibly unique sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew him.
A service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his name to the American Cancer Society.

I met Gordon through Lani who I worked with in the early 90's at SGI. We have remained in touch and we met them every month or so for breakfast. Gordon and Lani showed us their pictures from their many adventures and we never ran out of things to talk about. Our entire family will miss him, we loved him a lot.

Ah my man Flash, I will miss you and your humor on my future dives. I enjoyed the years we worked together. You kept me on the straight and narrow many times, which was as it should be. Your philosphy on life was a view I didn't have when I met you and have come to see it as a very good way to get through it all. I will miss you.

Gordon was the son of Wayne Wells one of my favorite uncles born when I was about 13. We were together frequently at family gatherings during my HS & college days. As adults we worked together executing another uncles trust, where we developed mutual respect and trust. We will miss him but the loss will be tempered by the knowledge that he is with his heavenly father free from the pain and agony of cancer.

We will miss you brother. Your kindness and care inspired everyone around you. You were geniune in all that you did. We never had a chance to dive together, but we did learn to sail. Thanks for helping to move our lives into another chapter. Von, Theresa, and the Roebuck Family.

I met Gordon when I moved to California in 1978. My first day on my new job he came up to me, stuck out his hand, and became my best friend for 35 years. We spent a lot of time together over the years, a lot of Thanksgiving dinners, a lot of diving, a few road trips and a lot of hours just chatting and enjoying each others company. He was kind, generous, and had a wise philosophy of life. He was a great friend and I will never forget him.
