Chantel, I'm reading TIME and sad to see your picture. I lived in Viet-Nam 68-70, taught school, & was married to an Air America/CIA pilot KIA Laos 18 Feb 70. Retired from 43 yrs teaching, I volunteer at the VA Hosp teaching creative writing in their Vet Recovery Center. The holidays are sad. Time does heal; however, at the Viet-Nam Memorial, Maya Lin envisioned a scar in the earth, healed but visible; black reflecting life.
