Heather-- We are so sad about Mark’s tragic passing. I remember Mark as the guy who would turn up at your work and take you out for lunch- a true romantic and someone I aspire to. And as the fireman with the big red engine I took our wee boy to see at Los Gatos events- someone perhaps he will aspire to be. But moreover we remember the two of you as a couple, inexorably intertwined in your love for each other- so we grieve for you both deeply.

My family and I would like to extend our sincere hear felt condolences to Heather, Jack, Barbara, Brian, and the rest of your family.

All thought I haven't spoken with you in some time I am still deeply saddened to learn of the loss of Mark. I always enjoyed the time I got to spend with Mark during our time together at the race track as well as the little time we spent together when I would visit California. He was truly a great individual who cared about his community and loved to help others.

Heather, there are no words to express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I did not know Mark personally, but he whenever he was at Headquarters his "ear to ear smile" would certainly light up the building!

He was a one of a kind man and the world is missing a hero.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails. I Corinthians 13:7

You will always have that love with Mark. God Bless You.

Dearest Heather and Mark's family,
My heart is heavy with sadness after learning just yesterday of Mark's untimely passing. I can't begin to know how difficult this time must be. My immediate thoughts were he was such a grrreat guy. You were the best couple. Always smiling, always joking. I've always admired the two of you together. It's been a while since I've seen you both and hearing this news was so shocking and horrible. After reading several entries to you and Mark in this section, one of your friends wrote of witnessing a rainbow after Mark's services. He was sure it was painted by Mark. I, too, witnessed the most perfect full rainbow that my kids and I viewed together for the very first time on the 19th. I knew it was special...but didn't know why. Now I know. Mark was a light in everyone's path, a colorful, wonderful guy. I will miss him greatly and, Heather, I want you to know I treasure our friendship even though it's been a while since I've seen you. I will be thinking and praying for your peace constantly. I am so very sorry to learn of your sweet husband's passing. My prayers for you are to gain comfort from your loving memories with him and to receive his encouraging messages from heaven to keep you going...and to know he is watching over you and protecting you always.
My love to you and your families,
Lisa Eilertson and family
