I was very sorry to hear about Bob. I worked with him at San Jose Fire between 1988 to 1998 when he was in Fire Prevention and I was in the Hazardous Materials Section. Later, I was also fortunate to work with him when he was at SLAC and I was at Palo Alto Fire Prevention. He was a great colleague; professional, calm and always interested in doing what was best in every situation. I enjoyed his sense of humor and perspective. I'll miss him. My sincere condolences to his wife and family.

One of the dearest men I have ever known. I'll always remember the first time I met him - pushing Olivia in a swing at Spreckles Park in Coronado - gentle giant of a grandpa and his little granddaughter. Such a lovely memory for me. All my sympathies to the Reek family for your loss.

Jim & I both had the privilege of working with Bob, in the Fire Prevention Department. He was such a gentleman and always respectful to all. A lot of the women in the department would ask him if he could be cloned, because he was such a wonderful person. We are so saddened to hear of his death. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Bob's wife, children, grandchildren, and all of his family and friends. God rest your soul Bob!
