Resident of San Jose
Sally Joann Persinger (81 years young) was escorted by angels to live in the warm grace of the Lord this past Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 at 6:28 am.
Sally's memorial service will be held at: 3 P.M. Saturday Nov. 22, at Willow Glen Funeral Home. 1039 Lincoln Ave., San Jose, CA 95125. A meal will be served after the service at the funeral home.
Sally was born to Max Mc Crocklin and Lucille Maxine Channon in Terre Haute, Indiana on Oct. 30,1933. Sally and her mother Lucille moved to Detroit, Mich. and then after to Des Moines Iowa where her mother settled and was remarried to Lamar Lee. Sally was raised and married in Des Moines Iowa. She had two sons and two daughters. She relocated to San Jose, CA and raised her children in a loving and caring home. Sally was an Administrative Secretary throughout her career. She enjoyed camping, boating, gardening, photography, going to the movies and traveling. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as her beloved dogs. When she retired she volunteered at the Good Samaritan Hospital and the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop in San Jose. Sally was a devoted Christian and enjoyed going to church and bible study. She attended the "Church on the Hill" in San Jose on a regular basis and will be missed by many friends throughout the church, especially the Bible Study group.
Survivors: Brother, Robert "Skip" Mc Crocklin. Daughters: Debbie Castro and Kristine Clark-de Castilho. Sons: Ron Clark and Randy Clark. Grandchildren: Ary Clark-de Castilho, Danielle Clark, Jaime Castro, Julianne Castro, Levi Castro, Craig Clark, Michaila Clark, & Joshua Clark. Great Grandchildren: Nevaeh Clark.

Sally was a loving person, to both her friends and family. She was a member of our ladies Sunday school group and we will fondly miss her. She sometimes had us laughing, and sometimes crying, when telling the personal stories of her life. Above all, she was sustained by God and knew that she was called to serve Him, and did. Sincerest condolences.
