Shinzui,
Miss you "Bud" and "old long time friend"!! I won't be able to enjoy any "pressed duck" without you there to enjoy it with me. By the way, we can also "dump" the veggies that we were told by our "Mom"s" that we had to eat!!
All the Old Board Members also miss you and your good consul!
Your Old "Bud" and Friend,
Don Allen

To the Sanada Family,
It's with a "heavy heart" that I heard the news of Shinzui's passing. He was a very dear friend, childhood buddy and Hokubei Mainichi Board member. We've been friends since we were 5-years old when his dad Reverend Sanada was resident ministers at the Bukyokai in SF. I and the rest of the Board will surely miss his calm demeanor and ready smile!!
I plan to attend the service there in San Jose.
My deepest sympathies for the Sanada Family!
With Gasho,

I am in shock and disbelief over Uncle's passing. I'll always remember how he made us laugh when we were younger; his never-ending love and commitment to Auntie, Tracy, Derek, and Jamie; and his kindness and endless giving to the Japanese-American and Jodo Shinshu communities. I will forever live by the example that he set for me, to positively touch many lives without expectations of anything in return. I will miss you, Uncle, but will always see in others who demonstrate goodness, compassion, and love ... qualities that you played a significant role in teaching us. In Gassho ...

Shin Sanada is full of grace and provided unconditional love and acceptance to those he met.
Shin inspires me to be the best person that I can be in my public life, my family life and my persona.
Shin personifies values such as loyalty, honor, dignity, humble, gentle, trust, commitment and action.
Shin always talked about how he liked the role as a shadow warrior in the fight for light.
Shin will always be present in the community spirit and in the company of those that have inspired me to of community: Andrea Leiderman, Gary Fazzino and Richard Lam.
I look forward to seeing them as my sunset approaches.

We were shocked and so very saddened to hear of Shin's death. The Sanada family was part of our "Via de los Reyes" family where we were neighbors, raising our families together. We remember Shin as a quiet, kind and gentle man...a loving husband and father. Our prayers and sympathy to Naomi, Tracy, Derek and Jamie and their families.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Sanada and Cornerstone Financial families. Hard to believe that just over a week ago I was visiting the office and talking to Shin. I will remember that day eating pasta and playing Boce ball.
