Gary Allan Pearson

Gary Allan Pearson passed peacefully Tuesday, March 11 in San Jose, CA. He was 80 years old.
Gary was born in Atascadero to Earl Stewart and Dorothy Ricker. His first few years were spent in San Francisco, then moved to Boulder Creek, CA where he grew up surrounded by family, redwoods, and the mountains of Santa Cruz County. It was in Santa Cruz on a "Blind" double date that he met and married, the love of his life, Carol Leonora Booth who preceded him in death on May 17, 2013. They were married 62 years. During those years Gary worked in electronics, enjoyed camping, fishing, motorcycles and family beach outings. Gary was also a Scout Leader, avid reader and trivia buff. They spent many years in Los Gatos, then in 1994 he and Carol retired, sold the family home and moved to their second home in Volcano, CA, returning in 2012 to San Jose to be close to family.
Gary is survived by two sisters, Barbara Houk and Kathleen Geraci, Half-siblings, George Pearson and Elizabeth Hollaway, five children; James Stearns, Elizabeth Wellman, Linda Lopez, Stan Pearson and Mike Pearson, ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, April 13th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Atrium Senior Living Center at 1009 Blossom River Way, San Jose, CA.95123. For more information please contact [email protected].

Missing you today Grandpa and Grandma too. Thank you for all the love and guidance you gave me. Our camping trips are some of my favorite memories. I think about you all the time.

Gary and Carol were both very much loved by the Schuster family. I remember them both to be hard working and fun loving. They will both be greatly missed. My prayers go out to the family who have a special place in my heart.

Oh my gosh! No one said anything ! I didn't know! I am so sorry for all of your family's loss! He was a great friend to my dad, Jerry Schuster all through their adult lives and especially when it came down to the last days for my dad. Rest in peace! ??

This obit is only a piece of the wonderful childhood he and mom gave us. Sometimes I still hear him whistling. Miss you Dad. Tell Mom I love her when you get there.

Gary was our phone guy at Siliconix in 1980s. Hard working, dependable, friendly person. Happy to hear of his long time marriage and full life.
